Türkiye's Interior Minister Soilou said on the 13th that at least 48448 people, including 6660 foreigners, had been killed by the strong earthquake that occurred in the south of the country on February 6. According to local media reports in Türkiye, Soilou said at a news conference held in the southern city of Khathai that the work of clearing up the ruins of the disaster area was still in progress. Up to now, more than 430000 tents have been built in the disaster area to accommodate the victims, and about 13800 temporary mobile toilets have been built. The disaster area also plans to build about 115600 resettlement containers for the victims. An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 occurred in southern Türkiye near the Syrian border on February 6, and the disaster situation in Khathai Province was relatively serious.
