The report of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed that "improve the diversity, stability and sustainability of ecosystems", "accelerate the implementation of major projects for the protection and restoration of important ecosystems" and "implement major projects for biodiversity conservation". Tibet is one of the most typical areas of biodiversity in China and even in the world, and is a very valuable biological gene bank on the earth. In recent years, the Institute of Plateau Biology of the Tibet Autonomous Region has worked hard to build Tibet's first germplasm resource bank in order to promote the protection of plateau biodiversity. At present, the Tibet germplasm resource bank has stored 8458 copies of 2047 kinds of biological germplasm resources. In addition, the first key experimental platform for biosafety in Tibet, the Key Laboratory for Biological Resources and Biosafety in the Tibet Autonomous Region, has also been established. Through the laboratory and germplasm resource bank, the biodiversity survey of key regions in Tibet was carried out systematically. It is suggested that the next step is to strengthen the cultivation of biodiversity conservation talents and technical teams in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, increase the continuous investment in biodiversity survey, continuously strengthen biodiversity monitoring, improve the collection, conservation and utilization level of germplasm resources, improve the conservation, monitoring, evaluation and utilization system of germplasm resources, strengthen the management and risk assessment of the introduction of exotic species, and continuously improve the protection level of biodiversity, We will help build ecological civilization.
