On November 12 last year, the two-photon microscope of the space station was successfully transported to the China Space Station by the Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft, becoming the first two-photon microscope in the world to enter space. Recently, the two-photon microscope of the China Space Station completed the in-orbit verification, and the Shenzhou 15 astronauts successfully obtained three-dimensional skin images through the microscope. The Shenzhou 15 astronauts completed the installation, commissioning and the first imaging test of the two-photon microscope, and successfully obtained the two-photon microscopic images of the astronauts' face and forearm skin in vivo. The two-photon microscope of the space station can clearly display the three-dimensional distribution of the astronaut's skin structure and cells with sub-micron resolution, and has the ability to conduct non-invasive microscopic imaging of the structure and composition of the skin surface. Astronauts can observe their skin cuticle, granular layer, spinous layer, basal cell layer, superficial dermis and other three-dimensional structures in real time on the screen. This on-orbit verification not only provides a new tool and method for astronauts' on-orbit health monitoring research, but also provides an important technical means for brain science research using the platform of the China Space Station in the future.
