On February 21, 2023 local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Working Committee, held a meeting with the Secretary of the Security Conference of the Russian Federation, Patrushev, with the leaders of the two sides of the China-Russia Strategic Security Consultation Mechanism in Moscow. The two sides discussed the current international strategic situation and expressed their willingness to jointly practice true multilateralism, oppose all forms of unilateral bullying, and promote the democratization of international relations and multi-polarization of the world. The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen cooperation within the multilateral framework and make more efforts to improve global governance. The two sides believe that peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region should be firmly maintained and oppose the introduction of cold war thinking, group confrontation and ideological confrontation.
