The Supreme People's Procuratorate held a press conference in Beijing on the 21st to introduce the civil procuratorial work carried out by procuratorial organs throughout the country in the past five years. Civil procuratorial supervision is an important feature of China's civil judicial system, and plays an important role in the supervision of court trials, the enforcement of public power and the relief of the legitimate rights of the parties. Zhang Xueqiao, Deputy Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, said that in recent years, the civil procuratorial departments of the national procuratorial organs have consciously put the concept of precise supervision put forward by the Supreme Procuratorate Party Group through the whole process and all links of supervision, promoting the improvement of the scale and quality of handling cases, and highlighting the correction and leading value of procuratorial supervision in the application of civil law and judicial concepts. Over the past five years, the national procuratorial organs have accepted more than 360000 cases of effective civil judgments and mediation supervision, and after examination, more than 20000 cases of protest have been filed, and more than 40000 cases of retrial procuratorial recommendations have been put forward. In 2022, the change rate of protest and the adoption rate of retrial procuratorial recommendations both exceeded 90%, increased by 15.3 percentage points and 42.8 percentage points respectively compared with 2018, and the accuracy of supervision opinions continued to improve. According to reports, in July 2020, the Supreme Procuratorate issued the "No. 5 Procuratorial Recommendation" to the Supreme Court in order to further strengthen the procuratorial supervision of false litigation and purify the litigation environment. In the past five years, the procuratorial organs nationwide have corrected about 40000 false lawsuits according to law. The procuratorial organs at all levels earnestly perform the supervision function of civil execution, strengthen the supervision of civil execution activities of the people's courts, and pay equal attention to supervision and support. Over the past five years, the procuratorial organs of the country have accepted more than 259000 cases of civil execution supervision, with the number of cases accepted increasing year by year; After review, more than 210000 procuratorial recommendations were put forward and more than 207000 were adopted by the court. Since March 2018, the Supreme Court of Public Prosecutions has launched a nationwide special campaign for supervision of civil non-litigation execution for a period of one and a half years. During the special campaign, the national procuratorial organs have accepted about 5300 cases of civil non-litigation execution supervision and put forward about 3900 procuratorial suggestions, promoting the arbitration and notarization to be carried out in strict accordance with the law and norms from the source. In addition, the procuratorial organs insist on the combination of supervision over matters and supervision over persons, and further strengthen and standardize supervision according to authority. Over the past five years, the procuratorial organs of the country have accepted more than 198000 cases of supervision over civil trial activities, with the number of cases accepted increasing year by year; After review, more than 174000 procuratorial recommendations were put forward and more than 172000 were adopted by the court.
