The 2023 International Bay Area Summit opened in Hong Kong on the 20th. Hong Kong should seize the opportunity and actively promote its participation in cooperation in the Greater Bay Area. He called on everyone to go to other cities in the Greater Bay Area to understand the development of the mainland. Li Jiachao, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said in his video speech that the complementary cooperation between the cities in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao can promote regional economic development. Under the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan", Hong Kong is determined to develop into an international innovation and technology center, and has broad cooperation space with the cities in the Great Bay Area. The construction of the Northern Metropolitan Area can bring together talents from Hong Kong, other cities in the Great Bay Area and overseas. Zhang Guangjun, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, said in a video speech that the construction of the International Science and Technology Innovation Center in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao has achieved remarkable results. The Ministry of Science and Technology, together with relevant departments, has continued to promote the transit of scientific research funds and resources, continuously expanded the opening of the national science and technology plan to Hong Kong and Macao, and vigorously supported Hong Kong and Macao in building major national research and development bases and innovation platforms. Lu Xinning, deputy director of the Hong Kong-China Joint Office, said in a speech that the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao should become a model of high-quality development in the new era, a model of high-level openness in the new era, and a model of collaborative innovation in science and technology.
