"You can earn more than 70 yuan to 100 yuan a day. You can do more than you can. You can pick up the children and cook when it's time. You can make money, but you can't do housework. It's really good!" Recently, at Haoxuan Crafts Factory, Dikou Town, Jian'ou City, Fujian Province, elder sister Chen, who is making lanterns, said while pasting lanterns, writing a satisfied smile on her face. Moulding, winding, paper pasting, drying and sealing were completed in one go. In a moment, several pieces of paper and a line "transformed" into a beautiful lantern on her dexterous hands. Jian'ou is a famous paper lantern production base in China, and is known as the "hometown of paper lanterns in China". After more than 30 years of development, an industrial chain has been formed that integrates more complete operation processes such as paper cutting, dyeing, winding and design, and most products are exported to Europe, America and other countries. In 2022, Jian'ou accounted for more than 80% of the national output value of paper lanterns exported, with an annual output value of more than 100 million yuan. The paper lantern has also become an emerging force in the cultural and creative market from an unknown handicraft. Now it has been included in the intangible cultural heritage protection project and has become a new impetus for economic and social development. Included in the intangible cultural heritage project, ushering in a new leap, the origin of the paper (lantern) art in Jian'ou has been more than 2000 years ago. Activities related to the paper (lantern) art, such as visiting flower lanterns to pray for blessings, and "hanging lanterns on the moon bridge" to celebrate the harvest, have become an important part of Jian'ou culture. Through the inheritance and development of various lantern artists, the variety of paper lanterns has been constantly enriched. In terms of shape, there are round lights, oval lights, square lights, five-star lights, hexagonal lights, octagonal lights, and polygon lights; From the perspective of painting, there are figures, landscapes, flowers and birds, dragons and phoenixes, fish and insects, as well as horse-drawn lanterns that can rotate by themselves. Its artistic value, history and folk custom research value are increasingly prominent. In November 2022, Jianou paper-making (lantern) art was listed as an intangible cultural heritage project in Nanping, and Lian Zhoujin, the head of Jianou Jianzhou Culture Group, was awarded the title of inheritor of intangible cultural heritage in Nanping. Lian Zhoujin is a post-80s generation and the fifth generation inheritor of Jian'ou paper (lantern) art. She has made bold innovations on the basis of inheritance, and has developed hundreds of thousands of paper art (lanterns) works, which is the backbone of the paper binding (lanterns) art inheritance. At present, she is preparing to build the "Gujianzhou Miniature Scenic Spot - Paper Lantern National AAA Sightseeing Factory" with a total investment of 280 million yuan, so that the paper lantern art and economic construction can go hand in hand and lay an economic foundation for the protection and inheritance of the paper lantern art. Now in Jian'ou, paper lanterns are not simple handicrafts, but works of art with comprehensive value. They are also big industries that can create economic value and promote local employment. Because the paper lantern production process is simple, quick to use, and has low requirements for the working environment, in addition to centralized production, workers can also take away the materials and process them at home. In the streets and alleys of Jian'ou villages, rural women can often be seen making lanterns skillfully at home. This "family workshop" model provides flexible employment opportunities for women, and has become the first choice for local women. Based on this situation, Jian'ou City has developed the traditional craft of making paper lanterns into a rich industry for women to start businesses. There are more than 30 paper lantern manufacturers and more than 200 family workshops in the city. Driven by the rapid development of industries, 18 towns (streets) in Jian'ou
