On February 8, the "Tidy East of the Yangtze River - Opening Exhibition of Taicang Art Museum" was officially unveiled in Taicang City, Jiangsu Province. Taicang, Jiangsu Province, is known as "Loudong" because it is located in the east of Loushui, and has an important cultural position in history. Zha Yan, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Taicang Municipal Committee, head of the Propaganda Department and head of the United Front Work Department, said in his speech that "Loudong Culture" is becoming a beautiful cultural card of Taicang. "The 'Loudong School of Painting' represents one of the highest points in the history of Chinese landscape painting." Wu Hongliang, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, deputy director of the China Artists Association and president of the Beijing Academy of Painting, said that the exhibition showed Taicang's rich cultural heritage and vitality, and injected fresh blood into the era development of the "Loudong School of Painting". It is reported that this exhibition is divided into five units, namely, "New Era of Soul Casting - Invitational Exhibition of Contemporary Artists", "Gaoshan Yangzhi - Loudong School Fine Art Exhibition", "Century Classics - 20th Century Chinese Painting Master Works Exhibition", "Blue Echo - Art Communication Exhibition of the the Belt and Road", and "Pingyuan · Tone · Composition - German Painting Works Exhibition". Here, visitors can have a look at the fine works of "Loudong School of Painting" in the Tianjin Museum and the authentic works of dozens of 20th century Chinese painting masters such as Qi Baishi, Xu Beihong, Pan Tianshou, Fu Baoshi and Li Keran. They can also feel the achievements of art exchanges between China and countries along the "the Belt and Road" in the past ten years, the diversified features of German contemporary painting and contemporary Chinese art creation.
