The National Office for Combating Pornography and Combating Non-Corruption today announced the top ten cases of "Combating Pornography and Combating Non-Corruption" in 2022, involving the production and sale of illegal infringing and pirated publications, the infringement of minors' rights and interests, the dissemination of pornographic materials on the Internet, and the compilation and distribution of illegal periodicals. According to statistics, more than 13000 cases of "combating pornography and illegal activities" were investigated and handled nationwide throughout the year, including more than 2000 criminal cases and more than 4000 criminal penalties. 1. Anhui Huaibei "May 13" case of illegal operation of publications. In May 2022, according to the clues found in the work, Lieshan Branch of Huaibei Public Security Bureau cracked an illegal business case and arrested 4 suspect. According to the investigation, Mr. Huang and others made profits by publishing book sales information on online social networking platforms and e-commerce platforms, and sold 204 illegal publications in total, involving more than 170000 yuan. At present, the principal offender, Mr. Huang, was sentenced to three years and three months in prison in the first instance. 2. The case of "March 08" illegal operation of publications in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. In March 2022, according to the clues of mass reports, Lishui Branch of Nanjing Public Security Bureau, together with the District Cultural Market Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade, cracked an illegal business case, killed a criminal gang editing, printing and selling illegal publications, and arrested six suspect. According to the investigation, Lu and others printed and sold 375 kinds of illegal publications and more than 202000 copies through the network platform, with the involved amount of more than 2.76 million yuan. At present, the case has entered the court trial stage. 3. The case of "March 5" illegal operation of children's publications in Yiyang, Hunan. In March 2022, according to the transfer clues of the national "anti pornography and anti illegal" office, the Public Security Bureau of Yuanjiang City, Yiyang City, together with the Municipal Cultural Market Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Detachment, cracked an illegal business case, seized more than 9 million children's illegal publications, and arrested 12 suspect. According to the investigation, Cao and others illegally printed children's foreign language books, with a total sales volume of more than 30 million, and the amount involved was more than 74 million yuan. At present, the public security organs have taken criminal coercive measures against suspect. 4. Shanghai Jinshan Liu Moumou and others spread a case involving minors' pornographic products for profit. In March 2022, according to the clues found in the work, Jinshan Branch of Shanghai Public Security Bureau cracked a case of spreading obscene goods for profit, and arrested 42 suspect. After investigation, Liu and others set up and operated three child-related pornographic websites, including "honey pomelo", "red romance" and "love letter", to disseminate pornographic videos involving minors, with a case amount of more than 35 million yuan. At present, the case has entered the court trial stage. 5. Heilongjiang Mudanjiang "Shame Cartoon" spread obscene articles for profit. In December 2021, according to the clues reported by the masses, the Aimin Branch of Mudanjiang Public Security Bureau cracked a case of spreading obscene goods for profit, and 147 suspect were arrested. After investigation, Zhang and others set up and operated the "Shame Comics" app, uploaded obscene and pornographic cartoons to attract members to recharge and pay for profits, and the amount involved was more than 300 million yuan. At present, the case has been transferred to the procuratorial organ for examination and prosecution. 6. The case of making and disseminating obscene articles for profit during the "2 · 12" in Fuzhou, Fujian.
