Automatic navigation and communication technology is used to optimize the path and improve the operation accuracy, and reduce the labor intensity; Real-time monitoring of the environment and biological characteristics can be realized by using sensors, big data, the Internet of Things, etc., to facilitate refined management and independent decision-making. Scenarios such as "digital wheat field", "unmanned farm" and "intelligent fishing ground" have emerged in succession. Transform traditional agriculture with digital technology, organically integrate data elements with the whole process of agriculture and the whole industrial chain, and realize labor substitution, precision investment, environmental monitoring, intelligent decision-making, etc., which is driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional agriculture to smart agriculture. Accelerating the popularization and application of digital technology in agriculture, complying with the forefront of agricultural science and technology progress in the world, and meeting the practical needs of agricultural transformation and upgrading, has also received sustained attention and support from national policies. In recent years, China has successively issued the Digital Agriculture and Rural Development Plan (2019-2025), the Digital Rural Development Action Plan (2022-2025) and other plans to make clear objectives and task arrangements for promoting agricultural digital transformation and accelerating the development of smart agriculture. In the future, digital technology and agriculture have a broad prospect of deep integration. At present, China is in the exploration and initial stage of transforming traditional agriculture with digital technology. A large number of key technologies in agricultural big data technology, agricultural artificial intelligence, agricultural robots and other aspects have made breakthroughs, and some technologies have begun to penetrate from pilot demonstration to pre-production and post-production. The application and demonstration of intelligent agricultural machinery equipment accelerated. More than 600000 tractors and combine harvesters nationwide were equipped with operation monitoring and intelligent control terminals based on Beidou positioning. The pilot projects carried out around digital agriculture and big data construction of the whole industrial chain have been actively promoted. A number of national modern agricultural industrial parks, modern agricultural industrial science and technology innovation centers, etc. have become the carriers of digital agricultural technology incubation, application and integration demonstration. Many challenges remain to be solved in accelerating digital technology to enable agriculture. The research and development foundation of agricultural digital technology innovation is relatively weak, especially in the core areas of data mining, intelligent algorithms, knowledge model decision-making and so on. The links of agricultural data collection, analysis and application are not smooth, the data elements are not closely connected with production, processing, circulation and other fields, and the upstream and downstream data of the industrial chain are often not fully shared due to the restrictions of ownership and standards. The digital transformation of supporting facilities in the fields of agricultural product origin storage, logistics base and wholesale market needs to be accelerated. Leading enterprises, new agricultural operators and small farmers have not yet established a multi-party participation and benefit linkage mechanism with digital technology as a means. Professional talents who master agricultural management technology, understand management, and have digital technology application experience are relatively scarce.
