At the invitation of the East Theater of the United Nations Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and the local government, China's tenth batch of peacekeeping medical teams to Mali went to the Rand School in Gaao City to carry out compulsory medical treatment activities on the 2nd. Rand School currently has more than 450 students in school. It is close to the refugee camp, with poor sanitary environment and weak medical foundation. The Chinese peacekeeping medical team integrates multidisciplinary medical and nursing forces such as respiration, digestion, women and children, epidemic prevention, and inspection, and sends a team of 16 experts to carry out compulsory diagnosis and treatment for teachers and students in schools against seasonal epidemics, infectious diseases, and common and frequently-occurring diseases among students. "Thanks for the careful diagnosis and treatment of Chinese doctors, I must study their superb medical technology," said the school doctor Mu Sang excitedly, who shuttled through the various clinics to observe and study. The Chinese peacekeeping medical team also donated food, medicine, health and epidemic prevention and school supplies to the school on the same day. During the interval between diagnosis and treatment, the Chinese expert team also inspected the operation of the school hospital and provided on-site teaching guidance to the school doctors. Xu Lin, the head of the medical team, said, "It is better to teach people fish than to teach them fish." This time, we arranged on-site teaching and technical assistance for the backbone of various disciplines to contribute to improving the local people's health and treatment conditions. The school expressed its deep gratitude for the free diagnosis and donation of the Chinese peacekeeping medical team, and highly praised the on-site help and guidance of medical experts. General Patak, the commander of the eastern theater of the Stabilization Mission of Mali, participated in the free clinic activities and highly praised them. (Xinhua News Agency)
