The four-day ASEAN Tourism Forum in 2023 ended on the 5th in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In addition to ASEAN 10 countries, China, Japan, South Korea, India and Russia also attended the forum as special invited countries. The theme of this forum is "ASEAN: a journey to a beautiful destination", and promoting the recovery of post-epidemic tourism has become the focus of discussion. The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, Sandiga Uno, said that the tourism industry is extremely resilient, especially after China's resumption of outbound tourism, the ASEAN tourism industry will recover strongly. Cristina Frasco, the Philippine Tourism Minister, thanked China for designating the Philippines as one of the pilot destinations after the resumption of group outbound tourism. She said that the return of Chinese tourists injected a strong needle into the Philippine tourism industry. He Wenchao, Deputy Director of the National Tourism Administration of Vietnam, said that Vietnam is willing to strengthen cooperation with China to improve the quality of tourism services. The ASEAN Tourism Forum began in 1981 and is held once a year. It is held by ten ASEAN countries in turn.
