The ability evaluation of the elderly is the analysis and evaluation of the elderly's individual self-care ability, basic motor ability, mental state, perception and social participation by professionals according to relevant standards. The main evaluation indicators in the standard include primary indicators and secondary indicators. Among them, the first-level indicators include self-care ability, basic motor ability, mental state, perception and social participation; The secondary indicators include 26 aspects, such as eating, wearing and taking off clothes, walking on the flat ground, going up and down stairs, memory, understanding ability, vision, hearing, and social interaction ability. The higher the score, the better the ability level. The ability of the elderly is divided into five levels according to the standard: intact ability, slightly impaired ability (slight disability), moderately impaired ability (moderate disability), severely impaired ability (severe disability), and completely disabled ability (complete disability). Compared with the 2013 version of the industry standard, "total disability" is added. "The release and implementation of the National Standards for the Evaluation of the Capacity of the Elderly will provide the basic basis for the scientific classification of the capacity of the elderly, the promotion of the construction of the basic old-age service system, the optimization of the supply of old-age services, and the standardization of the operation of old-age service institutions," said Guo Huanxin.
