Ukraine stopped accepting the transmission of Russian natural gas to Europe through the Sohranivka metering station since May last year, because it is under the control of the Russian military, so the Suja metering station has become the only import of Russian natural gas to Europe through Ukraine. Gazprom said that the application for resuming the operation of Sohranivka metering station was rejected by Uzbekistan, and it was technically impossible to transfer all gas transmission to Suja metering station. Some Russian analysts believe that the reduction in gas transmission is related to the warmer weather in Europe since January this year and the reduction in consumer demand for energy.
