From small to large, it seems that literature is all around me. In the early 1970s, our school often organized students to study agriculture and work. We go to the paper mill to work, which is to clean up old books and newspapers. However, there are still many intact books in the pile of waste books and newspapers. We can't bear to throw them away. The students have hidden the books they want to read. I took part in the study work several times, and even took home twenty or thirty books. On the bookshelf made by my father, there are "Li Bai and Du Fu", "A Brief History of Chinese Fiction", "History of Chinese Literature", "Bitter Cauliflower", "Forest Sea and Snow Field", "Wild Fire and Spring Wind Fighting the Ancient City", and "Poetry Journal" in the 1950s and 1960s. With books, I no longer listen to other people's stories. I read them myself. After reading the books I have hidden, I exchange them with my classmates. My Faxiao family has a study full of books. I borrowed Ba Jin's "Home", "Spring" and "Autumn" from his home. After reading many books, I really know that books are written by different people. Different people write different books. Some write thick books, some write thin books, some write long articles, and some write short chapters. I began to think wildly. When I came home from school to herd sheep, I put myself into the story of "Wang Erxiao". I named myself "Zhan Wa". I told the story of Zhan Wa once to my cousin who came to my house to visit relatives. I didn't expect that he would always pester me to tell him the story of Zhan Wa. My cousin, the audience, unintentionally encouraged me, and I found my "ability". When I entered high school and divided my major into classes, I did not hesitate to choose the "Literature and Art Theory Class" and became one of the members of the writing group in the class. When I was in the first grade of high school, my classmates called me "pen pole". Encouraged by this, I wrote the short story "Grain Inspection" and sent it to "Shaanxi Literature and Art". In the rejection letter, the editor called me "Comrade Jianquan", which made me feel like a talent at the age of 16. In the spring of 1978, when I was just 18 years old, I joined the army. During the training of the recruit company, I wrote not only diary, but also home letters on behalf of individual comrades, and also prose. There was an exercise entitled "Hunan's Mountains and Towns", which was seen by the officer of the Political Department. He commented: "The language is simple, the observation is exquisite, and the writing is good!" He encouraged me to stick to it. So I became the "writing talent" that the propaganda unit of the Youth League focused on cultivating. After working as a clerk in the next company for one year, I was transferred to the propaganda unit and became a news reporter. It is the light of literature that leads me on the road of news. At the age of 19, my first essay, "Spring Festival", was published in the monthly magazine "Mountain Spring" in Hongjiang City, where the three battalions of our army were located at that time; A year later, I moved to Beijing and began to publish articles in the PLA Daily.
