On January 15 local time, Foreign Minister Qin Gang held talks with Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Gait in Cairo. Qin Gang said that last month, the first China-Arab Summit was successfully held and achieved fruitful results. The two sides agreed to make every effort to build a China-Arab community with a shared future for the new era, and to guide the development of China-Arab relations in the new era, which is of milestone significance. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Arab side to uphold the spirit of China-Arab friendship, implement the outcomes of the summit, accelerate the promotion of the "eight common actions", and better benefit the people of both sides. Both sides should strengthen the mechanism construction of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum and help improve the quality and upgrading of cooperation. Qin Gang said that both China and Afghanistan are developing countries with broad common interests. China appreciates the Arab side's adherence to the one-China principle and supports China's legitimate proposition. We also firmly support Arab countries to unite and cooperate to solve regional security issues, support the Arab people to independently explore their own development path, support the Arab League to play a greater role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East region, and are willing to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with the Arab League, jointly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries, and safeguard international fairness and justice. We appreciate China's strong and efficient implementation of the summit consensus, and are willing to strengthen communication and docking and implement the "eight major common actions" one by one. Afghanistan and China share a common language in many fields, such as strengthening cultural exchanges and mutual learning, opposing external interference, and maintaining fairness and justice. We thank the Chinese side for its long-term international justice, supporting the development of Arab countries and the unity of the Arab League, and providing valuable assistance to the Arab side in successfully fighting the epidemic. It is expected to further deepen Arab-China cooperation in various fields and promote regional peace and stability.
