From January 7 to 8, the Central Political and Legal Work Conference was held in Beijing. Take the law as the key point and respect the law and good governance. Over the past five years, the Party's absolute leadership over political and legal work has been comprehensively strengthened. The political and legal organs firmly grasp the fundamental political attribute of "politics, law and the party", strive to improve the system of laws and regulations on the absolute leadership of the party, promote the formulation and implementation of the Regulations of the CPC on Political and Legal Work, the Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Strengthening Public Security Work in the New Era, and the Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Strengthening the Legal Supervision of Procuratorial Organs in the New Era. The overall pattern and operating system of the party's leadership of political and legal work are more sound. We will formulate and implement regulations to resolutely safeguard the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, strictly implement the system of requesting instructions and reporting on major issues, and establish a system of political rotation training and political supervision for political and legal organs. We will resolutely and thoroughly eliminate the pernicious influence of Zhou Yongkang and Sun Lijun's political groups. In the past five years, the miracle of long-term social stability has continued to write a new chapter. China is one of the countries with the lowest murder rate and the lowest criminal crime rate in the world, and peace has become a bright national card. We will promote the modernization of social governance, carry out nationwide pilot projects for the modernization of municipal social governance, improve the social governance system of co-governance and sharing, and make great progress in the cause of courage and justice. We carried out a special campaign to eradicate crime and evil. The number of organizations involved in crime in the past three years was 1.28 times that of the previous 10 years. We effectively investigated and dealt with the problems of corruption and "umbrella" involved in crime and evil. Effectively punish prominent illegal crimes such as telecommunications network fraud, and carry out special actions such as cracking down on pension fraud. We will focus on tackling the problem of letters and visits, implement the Regulations on Letters and Calls, and properly solve a large number of contradictions that the people have strongly reflected.
