(The "Temple Sugar Sculpture Art Exhibition" was held in Macao on the 4th.) At the beginning of the New Year, MGM and Zhou Yi, a Chinese sugar flipper who has won international awards and the reputation of "China Sugar King", joined hands to present the "Temple Sugar Sculpture Art Exhibition" at MGM. It is reported that this special exhibition is the first personal sugar sculpture exhibition in Zhou Yi's creative career. With the original intention of carrying forward the Chinese traditional and intangible cultural heritage craft sculpture, it combines the western creative media - sugar to create an amazing national style puppet. (The "Special Exhibition of Temple 'Sugar' Sculpture Art" was held in Macao on the 4th.) This special exhibition created five three-dimensional sugar sculptures with a height of more than two meters. It is a multi-dimensional interpretation of the life stories and features of Chinese culture with the theme of "Joy" and "Etiquette". With the theme of "Three Books, Six Rites", "Filial Piety", historical figures and Lingnan customs such as "Lion Dance" and "Tea House Culture", it leads the audience to explore the charm of intangible cultural heritage. The exhibition integrates food technology and crafts, such as dough sculpture, sugar art, sugar flipping and art crafts, such as painting, ink-jet painting, shaping and carving, and innovatively integrates life style and art to create a new cultural tourism experience. He Chaoqiong, co chairman and executive director of MGM China Holding Co., Ltd., said in her speech that the "Temple 'Sugar' Sculpture Art Special Exhibition" presented a sweet life feast with the most sweet "sweetness" among the five flavors. I am very glad that this exhibition can break the usual rules, demonstrate Chinese festivals, etiquette and folk life style with modern techniques and innovative media, inject "China-Chic" power into culture and art, make art and life cross-border integration, and revitalize Chinese traditional culture. (The work of Zhou Yi, a Chinese sugar dumpling craftsman with the reputation of "the king of Chinese sugar") Zhou Yi said that he very much hoped that he could constantly challenge and innovate through the popular way of sugar cake, and present Chinese cultural traditions in a new form of cultural creation, so that more people could understand Chinese elements and classic legends. The opening ceremony of the "Temple 'Sugar' Sculpture Art Exhibition" was also held online and offline on the 4th, with more than 1.7 million people attending. The main guests attending the opening ceremony on the same day included Bai Bing, Director of the Ministry of Publicity and Culture of the Macao China Joint Office, Wen Qihua, Director of the Tourism Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Liang Huimin, Director of the Cultural Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, and others.
