The Xing'an Mountains are covered with thorns. Every deep mountain and jungle in Heilongjiang is a "battlefield" that Wang Weiming is familiar with. Over the past 30 years, Wang Weiming, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice president of Heilongjiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, has never stopped his front-line research. Wang Weiming found in his research that the price of traditional Chinese medicine in the market fluctuated greatly, causing harm to farmers and enterprises year after year. At the same time, the quality of some varieties of traditional Chinese medicine was mixed, which also brought hidden dangers to patients. How many Chinese medicine resources does Heilongjiang have? How many Chinese medicine resources need to be developed and utilized? How to make TCM products better benefit the people? With these questions in mind, Wang Weiming, as the director of Heilongjiang Provincial Office of the Fourth National Survey of Traditional Chinese Medicine Resources (pilot), undertook the investigation of wild and cultivated traditional Chinese medicine resources in 40 pilot cities, counties and districts. In order to complete the investigation, she collected Chinese medicinal materials in the deep mountains during the day, and worked overtime with the team members at night to suppress the specimens of Chinese medicinal plants, sort out the complicated information, and retain a large number of precious materials. During the investigation, Wang Weiming found some problems that restricted the development of the Chinese herbal medicine industry in Northeast China and needed to be solved urgently. According to the actual investigation, she explained the crux of these problems in detail: first, in terms of planting, the production cycle of Chinese herbal medicine is long, capital, technology and labor input are intensive, the development of standardization and standardization is unbalanced, and the green prevention and control system is imperfect; Secondly, in terms of processing, the upstream and downstream connections are relatively low, and a real large variety, brand and industrial chain has not yet been formed; Finally, in terms of circulation, there is a lack of specialized markets with large coverage, good development and great influence. The standardized warehousing, logistics and testing facilities are not perfect, and the ability to withstand market risks is weak. "We must adhere to the problem orientation, start with the top-level design, innovate the development path, and build a security system conducive to the healthy development of the northeast Chinese herbal medicine industry." Wang Weiming suggested that we should promote the Chinese herbal medicine ecological agriculture model advocated by the national Chinese herbal medicine industry technology system, and develop the northeast Chinese herbal medicine ecological agriculture according to local conditions; Implement the strategic reserve of traditional Chinese medicine in Northeast China, increase policy support for the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry in Northeast China, expand the pilot scope of standardized integrated demonstration projects, support the construction of traditional Chinese medicine industry clusters and pilot demonstration areas, integrate authentic resources, adapt to consumption transformation, and support the innovation of traditional Chinese medicine seed industry in Northeast China. Research never stops. In August 2021, in order to further grasp the real demands of pharmaceutical farmers, enterprises and scientific research, under the organization of the Planting Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Wang Weiming carried out a special research on the development of the Chinese herbal medicine industry in the Northeast, especially an in-depth research on the genuine bulk Chinese herbal medicine ginseng in the Northeast, A series of proposals, such as Proposal on Strengthening Policies for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry in Northeast China and Proposal on Accelerating the High Quality Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry in Northeast China, were formed. This winter, Wang Weiming is particularly busy. Wang Weiming led the team to develop and prepare traditional Chinese medicine products for the infection symptoms of Omikjon mutant. At the same time, focusing on how to do a good job in emergency prevention and control and routine services in the next stage, he is also accelerating the formation of guidance plans and expert consensus to scientifically improve the immunity of the people and the health level of the whole people.
