In the past decades, I have been studying China. Former Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan and former Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Ignanliev said in an interview with our reporter recently. Immanuliev has visited China many times and has been paying close attention to China's development and progress for a long time. "Promoting world peace and development is an important starting point for China to put forward a series of initiatives, and China has also proved this with practical actions." This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the five Central Asian countries. As a former ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China, Immanuliev witnessed the rapid development of Kyrgyzstan China relations. He said that the cooperation between Central Asian countries and China in various fields has yielded fruitful results. The joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" has brought investment, technology and other valuable support to many countries including Kyrgyzstan. In 2019, Immanuliev published the book China, Eurasia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which combed the historical exchanges between China and Central Asian countries from the perspectives of social culture and national psychological characteristics, and discussed the development process of relations between China and Central Asian countries since the independence of Central Asian countries, especially since the proposal of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" initiative. He said: "Under the framework of the SCO, Central Asian countries have worked closely with China and become an important force to maintain peace and stability in the Eurasian region. The SCO is an important platform to implement the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind." Immanuyev has visited many places in China, witnessed China's rapid development and changes, and made many Chinese friends. He told reporters that in the late 1980s, when he first arrived in Urumqi, Xinjiang, the hotel he stayed in was not high, but it was already one of the city's landmarks. In 2018, when he arrived in Urumqi again, the highways, international hotels, convenient public facilities and so on all showed the style of a metropolis. "Xinjiang has taken on a new look, and people's happy smiles show that their lives are getting better and better.
