Recently, Dongli Film Technology (Foshan) Co., Ltd. declared 336 "ECS film boxes" under RCEP to the Foshan Customs Office in the South China Sea under Guangzhou Customs, with a value of 1.765 million yuan and a preferential import tax of 99 thousand yuan. The company is a manufacturer of high-performance water treatment membranes. "The core parts of our main products, the ECS capsule, are from Japan. We use the RCEP certificate of origin to handle import business, and the tariff rate is reduced from 5% to zero, saving about 50000 yuan per batch on average," said Liao Qingqing, the company's customs officer. In the first November of this year, the value of imported goods under preferential trade in the customs area of Guangzhou reached 71.48 billion yuan, up 14.4% year on year, and enterprises enjoyed tax concessions of 6.86 billion yuan, up 46.1% year on year. 265000 certificates of origin of various preferential trade agreements were issued for export, with a value of 78.24 billion yuan, up 14.5% and 24.4% year on year respectively. Among them, under the item of RCEP, the value of benefited imports in the first November was 5.4 billion yuan, 14000 copies of RCEP certificates of origin were issued for exports, and the value of benefited goods was 4.75 billion yuan. In the customs area of Guangzhou, cross-border e-commerce has gradually become a new growth point for foreign trade enterprises. Since this year, Guangzhou Customs has deeply promoted the docking of cross-border e-commerce B2B exports with local industries, supported traditional manufacturing enterprises in Guangzhou, Foshan and other places to rely on the transformation and upgrading of cross-border e-commerce, expand their sales networks in countries along the "the Belt and Road", involving nearly 60 industries such as clothing, home appliances, furniture, bags, shoes and boots, and ceramics, with exports covering more than 80 countries and regions around the world. In the first November, the customs supervised 530 million import and export declarations and lists of cross-border e-commerce retail, up 77.6% year on year.
