The "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area International Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Summit 2022" was opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on the 20th. During this period, experts and scholars discussed the development trend of intelligent robots, and conducted in-depth exchanges on promoting the cooperation of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in science creation and actively promoting the construction of the Greater Bay Area as an international science creation center. Sun Dong, Director of the Bureau of Innovation, Technology and Industry of the SAR Government, said in his opening speech that with the progress of the times, the application of artificial intelligence and robots has become an indispensable part of life. The SAR Government will continue to work with the industry to seize the development opportunities of the Greater Bay Area and contribute to the development of artificial intelligence and robotics in the Greater Bay Area. Chen Zuheng, chairman of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, delivered a speech, saying that Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have their own advantages in the development of different scientific and technological fields. The cooperation between the three regions will produce synergy, help improve the ecosystem of artificial intelligence and robot development, and effectively promote the construction of an international science and technology innovation center in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. At the meeting, a youth science popularization plan launched by the Artificial Intelligence and Robot Innovation Center of the Hong Kong Institute of Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was announced. This plan regularly organizes different scientific research activities for Hong Kong teenagers, aiming to benefit 10000 teenagers within three years, encourage them to devote themselves to the cause of science and technology creation, and help Hong Kong's development of science and technology creation. At the summit, experts and scholars made thematic reports on the orientation of Dawan District in the development of national artificial intelligence, the development status and problems of intelligent robots, and the development of the meta universe. The two-day summit was jointly held by the Hong Kong Productivity Council, Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, the Guangdong Provincial Association of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, the Hong Kong Association of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and the Macao Greater Bay Area Association of Artificial Intelligence.
