2022-12-16
December 15 (Reporter Chen Mengtong) The US China Trade National Committee released the latest data in Washington on the 15th, saying that the US export trade to China will create more than 1 million jobs for the US in 2021. This is the first time since 2017 that this data has exceeded the million mark. The U.S. China Trade Commission releases the last year's export report to China every spring. However, since the official service export data of the United States was released at the end of the year, the Commission updated the complete export data to China in 2021 on the 15th. The data shows that in 2021, the total export volume of US goods to China will reach 149.2 billion US dollars, an increase of 26.2 billion US dollars year-on-year; The total service exports from the United States to China increased by 7% year on year, reaching US $39.6 billion. Due to the impact of the epidemic on tourism and other industries, the total US service exports to China are still far below the peak of 55 billion US dollars before the epidemic. The US China Trade Commission pointed out in its statement that, despite the challenge of the epidemic, 38 US states' service exports to China will grow in 2021. Among them, the US education exports to China (Chinese students' spending in the US) increased by more than 600 million US dollars, pushing up the education exports of New York, Massachusetts and Illinois. According to the data, the US export trade to China in 2021 will create new jobs for 47 states. Among them, more than 10000 new jobs were created in export trade related industries in California, Texas and Illinois. "We are very pleased to see that the U.S. jobs supported by trade in goods and services to China are growing again." Allen, President of the US China Trade Commission, said on the same day that trade with China has benefited businesses and communities across the United States, which is a concrete example of the importance of US China economic and trade relations to the U.S. economy and employment.
