Clariant, a global specialty chemicals giant, invested in Guangdong. On December 15, the joint commencement ceremony of the new expansion project in Daya Bay, Huizhou, Clariant was held. The new expansion project will enhance Clariant's production capacity in pharmaceutical, personal and home care, industrial applications, new energy vehicles, electronic and electrical industries and other fields, so as to quickly respond to the demand of the Chinese market. The total investment for the expansion project of Clariant's nursing chemicals factory is 80 million Swiss francs, which will be completed by the end of 2024 to improve the capacity of existing products and introduce new products. Previously, after successfully obtaining the GMP certificate, Clariant Daya Bay Production Base has become the first API manufacturer in China to obtain the polyethylene glycol (Polyglykol TM 3350) certification. Therefore, the factory will also become the hub of the new Clariant global health care business, and will rapidly supply high-quality raw materials for health care drugs. At the same time, Clariant will also expand the existing capacity of ethylene oxide derivatives (EOD) and derivatives in Daya Bay. "Daya Bay is the location of Clariant's first ethoxylation factory in Asia. Through these investments, we will use the distance advantage between the factory and the main manufacturing base to upgrade it to a multi-purpose factory/ethylene oxide derivative production base." Guishiting Wan, global president of Clariant Care Chemicals, said. "This series of investments will help us achieve our goal.
