On December 13, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, State Councilor and Foreign Minister, held a video meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Sijardo, and jointly signed the agreement on the establishment of an intergovernmental "the Belt and Road" cooperation committee between the two countries. Wang Yi said that the sustained, healthy and stable development of China Hungary relations is in line with the common interests of the two peoples, and is also conducive to the stability of China EU relations. It is hoped that the EU and its member states will treat China's development in an objective and friendly manner like Hungary and maintain the theme of friendly cooperation in China EU relations. Seattle congratulated the successful holding of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and said that China is a partner of Europe rather than a rival.
