Sharaf said that Afghanistan and China enjoy profound traditional friendship, and the ancient Silk Road has played an important role in promoting bilateral economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges. In recent years, the political mutual trust between Afghanistan and China has been constantly enhanced, and exchanges and cooperation in various fields have become closer. The recently released China Arab Cooperation Report in a New Era shows that in 2021, China Arab trade volume will reach 330.3 billion US dollars, 1.5 times higher than 10 years ago. China has signed cooperation documents with 20 Arab countries and the Arab League to jointly build the "the Belt and Road". The two sides have implemented more than 200 large-scale cooperation projects in energy, infrastructure and other fields, and the results of cooperation have benefited nearly 2 billion people of both sides. Sharaf said that the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" has brought important opportunities for Afghanistan and China to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation. "Driven by the joint construction of the the Belt and Road, Arab China trade has grown rapidly, cultural exchanges have been deepening, and Arab China cooperation is showing vitality." So far, Sharaf has visited China more than 30 times. He told reporters that Arab civilization and Chinese civilization complement each other and share many common values. The convening of the first Arab China Summit provided a new opportunity for further strengthening exchanges between Arab and Chinese civilizations. "China has successfully walked out of a development path that is in line with its own national conditions, and has accumulated rich development experience, which is of great significance for Arab countries. Arab countries hope to strengthen cooperation with China and help themselves develop better."
