The report mentioned that Germany plans to purchase 35 F-35 stealth fighter jets, including supporting missiles and other weapons and equipment, and the first 8 fighter jets (if the transaction is concluded) will be delivered in 2026. These F-35s are intended to replace the increasingly old German "Tornado" fighters. The F-35 will become the only German fighter jet capable of carrying the US nuclear bomb. The report also mentioned that the purchase of F-35 aircrafts with 10 billion euros would be the first major project for Germany to use 100 billion euros of German "special fund".
