The Renewable Energy Report 2022 released by the International Energy Agency on the 6th pointed out that, driven by the energy crisis, the installation of renewable energy in various countries has significantly accelerated, and the global installed capacity increase in the next five years is expected to be nearly twice the increase in the previous five years. The report predicts that between 2022 and 2027, the installed capacity of global renewable energy power generation will increase by 2400 GW, accounting for more than 90% of the global power increment. By the beginning of 2025, renewable energy will surpass coal as the world's largest power source. Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, said that the world's new generation of renewable energy power in the next five years will be equivalent to the total increase in the previous 20 years, which clearly shows that the current energy crisis can become a historical turning point, making the global energy system cleaner and safer. The report predicts that in the next five years, the new installed capacity of renewable energy in Europe is expected to double the increase in the last five years, the increase in China will account for nearly half of the global increase, and the growth of renewable energy in the United States and India will also be significant. In terms of energy types, the global photovoltaic power generation capacity will triple, and the wind power generation capacity will nearly double, accounting for more than 90% of the global renewable energy generation capacity.
