2022-12-07
The Beijing Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau issued the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau's Warning on Further Regulating Market Price Behavior (hereinafter referred to as the "Warning") on December 5, which reminds that the relevant operators shall not hoard commodities for people's livelihood and epidemic prevention supplies and drive up prices. We should accurately record and verify the production and operation costs of goods and services, and provide consumers with goods and services at reasonable prices. It is not allowed to hoard, fabricate and spread information about price increases and drive up prices of commodities for people's livelihood such as grain, oil, meat, eggs, vegetables and milk, and anti epidemic supplies such as masks, antiviral drugs, disinfection and sterilization supplies, and related medical devices. In order to further regulate the price behavior of all relevant operators in this city and maintain the market price order during the epidemic prevention and control period, the Caution reminds the operators providing services to indicate the service items, service contents, prices or pricing methods. Where an operator sells goods or provides services through the Internet or other means, it shall clearly mark the price in words, images, etc. through the Internet page. The price shall be true and accurate, the goods labels shall be aligned, and the marks shall be eye-catching. The price change shall be adjusted in time. No commodity may be sold at a price higher than the marked price, and no fees not marked may be charged. It is not allowed to use false or misleading price means to induce consumers or other business operators to trade with them. Prevent false preferential discounts, failure to fulfill price commitments and other price violations. They shall not collude with each other to manipulate market prices and damage the legitimate rights and interests of other operators or consumers. There shall be no price monopoly to eliminate or restrict competition. The operators of various stores, shopping malls, markets, online trading platforms and other trading venues should strengthen the standardization and guidance of operators in the venues (platforms). The Beijing Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau requires all relevant operators to carefully compare with the above requirements and carry out self inspection and self correction in a timely manner. The market supervision departments at all levels in the city will strengthen the inspection of price enforcement in key links and fields, follow the clues of complaints and reports, and investigate and deal with all kinds of price violations according to law. Typical cases with bad circumstances will be severely punished according to law and exposed publicly. (Outlook New Times)
