The State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine recently issued the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" for the Development of TCM Informatization. The plan proposes to deepen digital convenience and benefit services, strengthen the intelligent construction of TCM hospitals, and promote the deep integration of TCM health services and the Internet. Internet TCM hospitals, TCM cloud clinics, smart TCM pharmacies... In recent years, informatization supports TCM to bring convenient medical services to the masses, and plays an important role in combating the COVID-19. At present, the rapid development and application of the new generation of information technology has brought wider space for the high-quality development of TCM informatization. The plan proposes to encourage all regions to carry out the construction of smart TCM hospitals; Encourage the development and application of traditional Chinese medicine electronic medical records, famous and old traditional Chinese medicine inheritance information system, traditional Chinese medicine intelligent auxiliary diagnosis and treatment system and other traditional Chinese medicine characteristic systems in various regions, and promote the service models such as smart traditional Chinese medicine stores; Build TCM Internet hospitals, develop telemedicine and Internet diagnosis and treatment, and promote the construction of an online and offline integrated TCM medical service model covering pre diagnosis, in-process diagnosis and post diagnosis. The plan is clear, supporting about 20 tertiary TCM hospitals to carry out the construction of smart hospitals; We will expand the coverage of the health information platform of TCM hospitals, optimize and upgrade the core functions of syndrome differentiation, knowledge base, distance education, and prevention of disease; We will support about 10 communities of traditional Chinese medicine to develop telemedicine centers or share traditional Chinese medicine rooms, and achieve two-way referral between medical institutions in the community of traditional Chinese medicine, mutual recognition and sharing of inspection results, sharing of traditional Chinese medicine preparations, and homogeneity of traditional Chinese medicine services. The plan also deployed four tasks, namely, consolidating the foundation of TCM informatization development, deepening digital services for convenience and benefit of the people, strengthening the governance of TCM data resources and promoting the innovative application of TCM data resources, and proposed a number of specific measures. According to the plan, by 2025, an information system of traditional Chinese medicine will be basically built that is compatible with the management system of traditional Chinese medicine, conforms to the development law of traditional Chinese medicine itself, and integrates with medical health.
