UAV takes the logistics industry to the future

Popularizing UAV cargo transportation also needs to solve the problems at the national law, urban supporting, security and technology levels. This is something that needs the whole society to move forward. The most ideal situation is to add these supporting functions when planning urban areas. ——Yang Jiong, an engineer from the Unmanned Systems Research Institute of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, said it is common for us to pick up express delivery and take out from smart cabinets. But can you imagine that the delivery of express delivery and take out is also taken over by UAVs? UAVs of all sizes shuttle around at low altitude to deliver goods, and the delivery page shows: "Your delivery/takeout is being delivered by UAVs...". Recently, the Ministry of Transport and other departments issued the Guidelines for the Construction of Transport Intelligent Logistics Standard System, which includes a number of standards related to UAV distribution. Not long ago, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (hereinafter referred to as CAAC) granted licenses to the second batch of civil pilotless aviation test zones and civil pilotless aviation test bases in Shenzhen, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, and continued to promote the exploration of unmanned aviation. In addition, the Civil Aviation Administration of China also released the Civil Unmanned Aviation Development Roadmap V1.0 (Draft for Comments), which makes a detailed plan for the future of civil unmanned aviation. Not limited to the use of drones mentioned in the "eighteen martial arts" of aerial photography, many people's first reaction is aerial photography. But is UAV just a "flying camera"? On this issue, Meituan, Shunfeng, Jingdong, China Post and other enterprises have given the answer that UAVs can not only deliver takeout and express delivery, but also deliver nucleic acid samples, scenic materials, and medical supplies. It can be said that "cultivation" has produced "18 kinds of martial arts". Mao Yinian, head of Meituan UAV business, said that as of August 2022, Meituan UAV distribution had landed in four business districts in Shenzhen, covering more than 10 communities and office buildings, serving nearly 20000 households, and had completed more than 75000 one-sided orders to real users. "In addition, since May, Meituan UAV has started to transport normalized nucleic acid samples in Hangzhou. As of September 19, 6.4 million nucleic acid samples have been delivered." Mao Yinian said. Fang Yuan, the person in charge of urban/rural operation of Shunfeng UAV, said: "In addition to the traditional express transportation, Shunfeng UAV also continues to make efforts in the medical cold chain, emergency security, security inspection, characteristic economy, intra city distribution, scenic spot distribution and other business scenarios, further improving the transportation efficiency." Fast and accurate is people's imagination and expectation for UAV distribution. Now, this expectation has gradually become a reality in the pilot project. "At present, it takes 28 to 30 minutes for regular delivery within 3 kilometers of Meituan." Mao Yinian said, "But with the help of UAVs, the waiting time of users can be reduced to 15 minutes from order placement to delivery, achieving a '3km 15 minute arrival'." The drones not only carried takeout in the city, but also flew over mountains, rivers, lakes and seas to transport fresh food. On September 23, the Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs will be officially caught in 2022. On the same day, the Shunfeng UAV transported the first basket of fresh hairy crabs just caught from the middle of the lake in only 5 minutes
