On November 30, Chairman Li Zhanshu of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress met with General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President Thong Lun in the Great Hall of the People. Li Zhanshu expressed that China and Laos are socialist friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, which are a community of shared future with strategic significance. Entering a new era, under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties and countries, China Laos relations have entered the best period in history. Thong Lun thanked the National People's Congress of China for its valuable support and assistance to the Lao legislature. The Lao People's Congress is willing to strengthen exchanges with the National People's Congress of China on experience in governing the country and promoting greater development of relations between the two parties and countries.
