In this regard, we need to gather consensus, seize opportunities, leverage difficulties, and solve the difficult problem of a university for the elderly with the new thinking of "providing for the elderly through learning", so as to contribute to open education for the elderly to enjoy the happiness of the elderly. First, universities for the elderly should actively serve and integrate into the new development pattern, provide inclusive public services for the elderly nationwide, expand the supply of education for the elderly by using information technology and platforms, and fully guarantee the coverage of education for the elderly; To provide enabling integration services, starting from solving the loneliness problem of the elderly, we will take various forms, such as online and offline, to maximize the learning needs of the elderly. The second is to give full play to the advantages of the system, build a national network of universities for the elderly, and strive to solve the problem of insufficient number and uneven development. Relying on the "four level running" integrated running pattern of the Open University, the school running service will be extended to villages and towns (streets), villages (communities), and schools at all levels will be united to play their own advantages and participate in the running service of the National University for the Elderly through various forms. The third is to focus on the supply of learning resources. Through internal and external cooperation, enterprises, industries, universities and other kinds of learning resources are gathered to solve the problems of insufficient supply of high-quality learning resources and weak teaching service capacity of elderly universities. On the basis of the integration and convergence of lifelong education resources, more elderly people will be served through the online and offline integrated teaching mode.
