Recently, Shenzhen Star Mobile Lianxin Technology Development Co., Ltd. announced that it has completed the first 5G satellite borne broadband communication link in China in cooperation with Viagra Communication Technology Co., Ltd., an internationally renowned communication terminal simulator manufacturer. According to the public information, this is the first satellite Internet 5G link in China that meets the 3GPP (International Standards Organization) 5G NTN technical standard, which indicates that China has been in the forefront of the world in the research and development of a new generation of low orbit satellite Internet broadband communication payload. This technology makes it possible for ordinary smartphones to realize broadband Internet access through low orbit satellite constellations. According to the person in charge of Starshift Lianxin, this test used the aerospace 5G NTN on-board digital processor based on the domestic ARM architecture independently developed by Starshift Lianxin, and the latest E500 test terminal of Viagra. The test results show that the terminal can successfully complete the system access and achieve (or approach) the theoretical peak rate of uplink and downlink. This is the first technical verification of China's satellite Internet based on the domestic ARM architecture. After the successful test, the company plans to complete the on orbit verification of relevant technologies next year. The space class 5G NTN satellite base station used in this test was independently developed by the Satellite Mobile Unicom, which avoided the "choke" technical problem in advance. During the joint test with the international manufacturer Weiyawei, the relevant software and hardware technologies provided by Satellite Mobile Lianxin fully conform to the spectrum definition function of 3GPP (International Standards Organization) version 17, which shows that China's satellite Internet has great potential for global promotion. It is reported that the company was established at the end of 2021, gathering excellent domestic aerospace and communication professionals, focusing on the overall design and product development of LEO satellite Internet communication payload. At present, the company has completed two rounds of tens of millions of yuan financing, including Chuangxiang Investment, Meihua Venture Capital and Qijichuangtan. China has accelerated the new infrastructure construction of satellite Internet and launched the LEO satellite constellation plan, marking that the domestic commercial aerospace industry has entered the 2.0 era. The special capacity of Satellite Mobile Unicom in communication payload is very outstanding, and its products are expected to provide support for the development of China's aerospace industry and become a new leader in the field of satellite Internet.
