The "Asian Forum on Human Rights - Environment, Climate Change and Human Rights" international seminar hosted by Renmin University of China opened in Beijing on the 26th. Jiang Jianguo, Deputy Director of the National Committee of the CPPCC on Nationalities and Religions and Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society for Human Rights Studies, pointed out that protecting the ecological environment and tackling climate change are common challenges facing all mankind. There are fine traditions and solid consensus foundations for human rights exchanges and cooperation in Asia.
