On the morning of November 17, 2022, the "5G Enabling Education for the Future" Smart Education Summit Forum was successfully held, sponsored by the China Academy of Information and Communication Research and the BRICS Future Network Research Institute, and organized by the Smart Education Working Committee of the China Internet Association, the Smart Education Industry Group of the 5G Application Industry Array Industry Application Group, and the IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group. A typical case of "5G+Smart Education" in 2022 was officially released at the meeting. At present, ICT, represented by 5G, has accelerated its integration with education, promoted the reform of education model, the reconstruction of education ecology and the renewal of education concept, and strongly supported the transformation and development of digital education. In September 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Education jointly organized the pilot application of "5G+Smart Education" for the first time to accelerate the integration and innovation of 5G and education. In this context, in order to promote the implementation of the application of "5G+Smart Education", summarize and share the application experience of "5G+Smart Education", the Smart Education Working Committee of China Internet Association will conduct a typical case collection activity with the theme of "5G+Smart Education" in August 2022. Through solicitation, preliminary review, expert review and other links, representative cases covering 14 typical application scenarios, such as 5G+ultra-high definition live interactive classroom, 5G+virtual simulation experiment/training, and 5G+cloud examination room, were selected from nearly 100 cases and included in the White Paper on "5G+Smart Education" Development and Industry Atlas (2022).
