Liu Liehong pointed out in his speech that VR industry is one of the new directions with great development potential in the digital industry cluster. There are three major changes in the development of VR industry: first, VR applications are gradually entering people's daily life. VR applications are no longer "science fiction scenes in movies", but more integrated into all aspects of life. For example, through the cooperation between China Unicom and the National Theatre, the online and offline "dual performance integration" has been achieved through 5G+8K, and the 1000 person theater has also welcomed 650000 audiences to "immerse" the performance. The audience has commented that "the picture is very clear and the sense of presence is very strong". Second, the VR industry is developing from the beginning of sailing to competing for the best. As VR hardware basically solves the three major technical problems of wearing vertigo, transmission delay and low screen resolution, the production industry of VR content such as film and television, games, social networking and live broadcast is gradually mature, and the VR industry is increasingly mature in hardware, software, content, application and other aspects. Third, VR technology is accelerating the evolution of the industrial meta universe. As the integrator of VR/AR, 5G, artificial intelligence, digital twins and other cutting-edge digital technologies, Yuanuniverse has created a new space for the all-round integration of the virtual world and the real world, and has also opened up two new tracks, namely, the consumer Yuanuniverse and the industrial Yuanuniverse. The consumption of meta universe mainly enables individual users to enjoy a more immersive and interactive service experience. The industrial meta universe is more a combination of industrial, medical, education and other real scenes, and realizes the digital twin of the physical world with the mapping, interaction and integration of virtual and real, making the scene reconstruction, process reconstruction and model reconstruction in the process of industrial transformation and upgrading easier, faster and more effective. In the industrial field, the meta universe is an advanced form of integration of industrialization and digitalization, networking and intelligence, providing a new toolbox for realizing intelligent manufacturing, unmanned control and lean management. As the VR industry continues to mature, the industrial meta universe will spawn richer scene applications and usher in broader development opportunities, providing more powerful support for accelerating the process of new industrialization and promoting the integration and development of the digital economy and the real economy. Liu Liehong said that China Unicom continued to deepen the VR industry, actively carried out layout and exploration in the field of the meta universe, and would focus on three things: first, focusing on the construction of computing network integration capacity, and building a solid digital base of "virtual reality connectivity".
