Do these four steps to deal with deciduous tooth disease easily
2022-11-15
The disease of deciduous teeth is complex, and it will bring great harm if not treated. Huang Cuijiao, Deputy Chief Physician of the Department of Stomatology of the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, suggested that parents could help their children to easily prevent deciduous tooth disease and prepare for the smooth eruption of permanent teeth through the following four steps. 1、 Brush your teeth in the morning and evening, and rinse your mouth after meals. Dental plaque is the main cause of dental caries, and correct brushing is the most effective way to remove dental plaque. For infants under 2 years of age, parents should use finger muffs or wrap their fingers with gauze to scrub their teeth and clean oral mucosa; Children over 2 years old can use children's toothbrush and special fluoride toothpaste to brush their teeth under the guidance of their parents. Parents should cultivate their children's good habit of brushing their teeth sooner or later. 2、 Eat less sugar and drink less carbonated drinks. A balanced diet is very important for children's oral health and overall growth and development. Children should eat more vegetables, fruits and other foods rich in vitamins and cellulose. Try to reduce the intake of sugar, drink more plain water, eat less sweets, drink less carbonated drinks, and avoid eating sugary food or sleeping with pacifiers before going to bed. 3、 Take caries prevention measures. Both primary molars and permanent molars will leave deep and narrow pits and ditches in the development of calcification, which will lead to the retention of caries bacteria and food residues. Therefore, pits and ditches become the best place for children's caries. Pit and fissure sealing can prevent dental plaque from accumulating and entering by sealing the pit and fissure gaps on the tooth surface with polymer resin materials, thus preventing pit and fissure caries. Therefore, it is recommended that children should perform pit and fissure sealing as soon as possible after the primary molars or sixth age teeth have grown out completely. 4、 Conduct oral examination regularly. Parents take their children for oral examination every six months. Especially for children in the alternating period of deciduous and permanent teeth, timely extraction of retained deciduous teeth and correction of bad oral habits can play a role in preventing early dental and jaw deformities.
