What kind of grass is a fungus? (Tell you about nature)

(The picture shows the Alashan League section of the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia. The fungus planted on the river bank plays a role in wind prevention and sand fixation.) The fungus is a pioneer plant for ecological management. It has developed root system, high photosynthetic efficiency, wide adaptability, drought resistance, saline alkali resistance, barren resistance, strong resistance, water and soil conservation. Some people call it "happy grass". In Papua New Guinea and other countries, the fungus is affectionately called "Chinese grass" by local people. What kind of grass is a fungus? To put it simply, this is a tall herb that can be used for cultivation of edible fungi and medicinal fungi. In 1996, experts and scholars from China, Australia, the United States and other countries participated in the first international symposium on the development of fungus and grass industry in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Since then, the fungus has been given a Chinese and English name and definition. I am proud that, until now, the English name of the fungus in the world is the Chinese pinyin "Juncao", because the fungus technology is an original technology with completely independent intellectual property rights in China. The fungus comes from nature, but the fungus we use in production is a new category obtained through long-term systematic breeding. What's the use of fungus? At first, it was used as a medium for edible and medicinal fungi to cultivate high-quality edible and medicinal fungi. After years of breeding and innovation, its function has also expanded from the original "grass instead of wood" mushroom to the fields of fungus feed, fungus fertilizer, fungus biomass energy development, etc. The fungus is also the pioneer plant of ecological management. It has developed root system, high photosynthetic efficiency, wide adaptability, drought resistance, saline alkali resistance, barren resistance, strong resistance, water and soil conservation. Among them, giant fungus can reach a height of 7 meters, rich in endogenous nitrogen fixing bacteria, which can grow rapidly on slopes, sandy land, and saline alkali land, and can effectively improve saline alkali land. The Xingfuyang tidal flat saline alkali land in Pingtan, Fujian, witnessed the miracle of saline alkali land turning into a good field of fungus and grass. In this heavily saline alkali land, after four years of experiments, the "Oasis No. 1" fungus selected by us can grow in saline alkali land with salt content below 9 ‰. I have to start my story of using fungus for ecological governance many years ago. In 1993, I planted fungus in Changting County and Liancheng County, Fujian Province, where the land was seriously lost due to water and soil flow, and achieved good results in water and soil conservation. In 1994, when I was implementing the poverty alleviation program with fungus and grass technology in Shandong, when I passed the Yellow River, I saw that the river bed was exposed and the Yellow River was cut off. The villagers drove their carriages over the river bed that was piled up with silt. I was speechless for a moment. Since then, I have made up my mind to take the fungus to the Yellow River basin. In 2010, I planted fungus in Gobi Desert, Minning Town, Yongning County, Ningxia, with a fresh grass yield of 20 tons per mu; In 2013, my team and I stationed in Ulanbuhe Desert, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia. After many times of "resurrection", the fungus planted finally managed the quicksand. Now, the fungus has been planted in 9 provinces along the Yellow River. This year, in the areas with severe quicksand in the Inner Mongolia section of the Yellow River, less than 100 days of planting fungus has prevented about 1400 tons of Yellow River sediment transport. Among them, the root system of the fungus planted in the Alashan Wind proof and Sand fixation Demonstration Base in 2013 still has a strong sand fixation effect. In a word, although it is called mycorrhiza, its application scope is far beyond
