As the leader of the ASEAN rotating presidency, Hun Sen handed over the mallet of the ASEAN rotating presidency to Indonesian President Joko of the ASEAN rotating presidency in 2023 at the closing ceremony. The ASEAN Summit is generally held twice a year, respectively in the first half and the second half of the year. Affected by the epidemic, the two summits this year are still held at the same time. This is the first face-to-face meeting of ASEAN leaders since the COVID-19 epidemic. The 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and East Asia Cooperation Leaders' Meetings were held from November 11 to 13, during which the 25th China ASEAN (10+1) Leaders' Meeting, the 25th ASEAN China Japan South Korea (10+3) Leaders' Meeting, and the 17th East Asia Summit were also held.
