Viewing "Digital Butterfly Change" Made in China from the Lighthouse Factory
2022-11-11
Recently, the World Economic Forum released the latest list of "lighthouse factories". Among the 11 newly selected lighthouse factories, 5 are from China. The "Lighthouse Factory", jointly selected by the World Economic Forum and McKinsey, is not only the leader of global manufacturing enterprises in Industry 4.0, but also a model of digital transformation. At present, China has 42 lighthouse factories out of 114 in the world, accounting for more than 30%, making it the country with the most "lighthouse factories" in the world. Behind the rapid growth of the number of "lighthouse factories", China's manufacturing industry is experiencing a "digital butterfly change". Since the "14th Five Year Plan", China has accelerated the cultivation of new forms and models of digital industry, and actively promoted the "smart transformation and digital transformation". "Lighthouse Factory" is a typical representative. Thanks to intelligent, digital, automation and other advanced technologies, "Lighthouse Factory" has improved production efficiency and productivity, promoted energy conservation, emission reduction and business optimization. The "digital butterfly change" behind China's "lighthouse factory" can be viewed from three perspectives. First, the national strategy is promoting the manufacturing industry to enter the digital era. In recent years, the digital transformation of manufacturing industry has become the focus of national strategy. Since 2017, developing the digital economy and promoting the deep integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the real economy will become the focus of China's manufacturing industry in the future. Just the next year, the selection project of "Lighthouse Factory" was launched. Among the first nine lighthouse factories selected, China accounted for three. In the selection of "Lighthouse Factory" in the following years, there were Chinese factories in electronic products, automobile, industrial automation and other fields. The digital transformation of manufacturing industry has played a role in driving the development of industrial chain financing, and it is also an important starting point for China to enhance the independent and controllable ability of industrial chain and supply chain. Second, the advantages of digital transformation provide enterprises with more competitive advantages. With the increasing complexity of technology, the traditional industrial model can no longer meet the requirements of the future manufacturing industry. The combination of digital technology and traditional production capacity can greatly reduce costs and improve the profit margin of enterprises. According to McKinsey's data, the "lighthouse factory" successfully combined with digital technology has increased productivity by more than 250% on average and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by more than 97%. Its essence is that digital technology continuously releases value in the industrial chain, drives the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, improves the production efficiency of enterprises, and reduces costs. Third, the integration of data and real estate brings new market opportunities and new industrial momentum. China has a huge domestic demand market. The rapid development of the digital economy not only stimulates the demand of the existing market, but also will drive scientific and technological innovation and the vigorous development of the digital industry. In recent years, China has been promoting the "integration of data and reality", using digital technology and data elements to empower traditional industries and inject vitality into China's high-quality economic development. Shengdish Semiconductor Shanghai Factory, which was selected as the "Lighthouse Factory" this time, improved the production efficiency of the factory and significantly reduced energy consumption pollution through the collection, machine learning and analysis of big data in all production links. At present, China's digital economy development should not only speed up innovation and enhance the influence of Chinese patents, but also speed up the integration of data and reality, giving play to the role of information technology in enlarging, overlapping and multiplying the manufacturing industry. Digital transformation is not the "choice" of manufacturing industry
