Howell Group released a square 2 megapixel micro CMOS image sensor for endoscopes
2022-11-11
OmniVision of Howell Group released OH02B image sensor, which is the first square 2 megapixel (1500x1500) CMOS image sensor for reusable and disposable endoscopes that can be used in digestive, respiratory, gynecological, otorhinolaryngology, urology, orthopedics and surgery of Howell Group. It is reported that the OH02B image sensor adopts the latest PureCel Plus-S chip stacking technology of Howell Group. In addition, the product adopts the camera cube chip packaging technology OCH2B with lens module, which has a 2.5x2.5mm small size package and high image quality, and is suitable for the design of disposable endoscopes. OCH2B uses the proprietary technology of AntLinx from Howell Group, which enables the transmission and connection of 4-core thin cables up to 4 meters from the endoscope camera to the image processing host. It is not vulnerable to noise or electromagnetic interference, and its electromagnetic conduction is extremely low. AntLinx provides excellent video transmission quality and reduces interface conversion requirements. It is more suitable for endoscope products with long line transmission requirements. IT Home learned that Howell Group has passed ISO13485 certification and medical products have passed EMC and EMI tests, which helps simplify the FDA approval process for medical equipment manufacturers. OCH2B also has biocompatibility and waterproof test reports, which can be autoclaved without tuning or calibration. (Liu Xinshe)
