At the 14th China Air Show, which opened on August 8, the Chinese navy's ship based equipment made its debut in a systematic way, demonstrating the achievements of the construction of the new quality combat force of the Chinese navy. After years of construction and development, the Chinese Navy has formed a shipborne aircraft system based on four major types of platforms, namely, shipborne fighter, helicopter, early warning aircraft and trainer, and has initially achieved a leap forward development from shore based to ship based. For the first time, the exhibition area of "maritime attack and defense" was set up in this air show, which concentrated on more than 10 kinds of maritime combat equipment, such as the Navy's active J-15 carrier based fighter aircraft, Z-9S carrier based helicopters, and air police 500H reconnaissance and early warning aircraft, fully demonstrating the improvement of the overall strength of naval aviation weapons and equipment. In particular, a model of the Navy's active J-15 carrier based fighter with 12 missiles attached to it became one of the highlights in the exhibition hall. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the construction of the new quality combat force of the Chinese Navy has been continuously improving and growing, and a modern equipment system with the fourth generation equipment as the guide and the third generation equipment as the main body is being formed. The naval equipment in this exhibition is mostly used in large maritime combat platforms. It can undertake the tasks of maritime alert, rescue, attack operations and fire support, as well as the tasks of transporting troops' weapons and equipment, materials, and battlefield rescue. According to the relevant departments of the Ministry of Naval Equipment, the People's Navy is speeding up the development of the equipment force system for offshore defense operations, promoting the construction of diversified and comprehensive operational capabilities, and providing strong support for the realization of the Chinese dream of building a strong military.
