Susannah Jacob, Deputy Director General of the World Health Organization, said in her video address that the power of science, research and innovation is very important in addressing global health issues. She stressed that all sectors should unite to build a strong and more resilient health system. This two-day forum is one of the key activities of the first "International Medical and Health Week" coordinated by the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council. Another key activity held at the same time is the 13th "Hong Kong International Medical and Health Expo". The exhibition has attracted about 300 exhibitors. Many companies hope to explore business opportunities through the exhibition and enter the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area market. A Hong Kong exhibition company showed a new "mobile dry toilet" on the spot. It can automatically replace the toilet board cover and seal the excrement with plastic bags, which is more effective than the traditional toilet chair to reduce the workload of nursing staff. The person in charge of the company said that he looked forward to meeting more buyers in the exhibition and looking for more cooperation opportunities, hoping to expand his business to other cities in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. The 15 day "International Medical and Health Week" was held on November 1.
