On the 8th, the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture held the opening ceremony of the special exhibition of "Treasures in Art Gardens - Famous Collections of the Liechtenstein Royal Family". This exhibition is the first special exhibition launched by the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture after the opening exhibition. The exhibition of "Treasures in the Art Garden" was jointly planned by the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture and the Liechtenstein royal collection expert team. It was divided into eight parts according to the theme. 124 representative treasures were selected from more than 30000 royal collections for display, including oil paintings, prints, tapestries, sculptures and decorative arts. The exhibition will be open to the public from November 9, 2022 to February 20, 2023. Li Jiachao, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said in his speech that, with the support of the National "Fourteenth Five Year Plan", Hong Kong is committed to developing itself into a center for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and foreign countries. This exhibition is timely. Wu Zhihua, curator of the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture, said that the exhibition "Treasures in Art Gardens" presented the cultural exchanges between the East and Europe over the past centuries, fully reflected the mission of the museum to promote dialogue between world civilizations, and consolidated Hong Kong's position as a center of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
