Chen Junshi, an academician of the CAE Member, said recently: "We should advocate a healthy diet pattern of mainly vegetable food and properly matching soy food." (The picture is Academician Chen Junshi) At the "Balanced Nutrition · Care for Health - Consensus on Nutrition, Health and Consumption of Soymilk" (hereinafter referred to as the "Consensus") conference and the launching ceremony of China's National Nutrition Balanced Plan for Soymilk "sponsored by the China Food Industry Association, Chen Junshi said: "Nutrition should play an important role. Therefore, we should advocate a healthy diet pattern of mainly vegetable food and properly matching bean food." With the development of economy and agriculture, food supply has become increasingly abundant, and the national dietary structure and overall nutritional status have been generally improved. However, the double burden of nutrient deficiency and excess has become increasingly prominent, and the burden of chronic diseases related to dietary nutrition has become increasingly prominent. Unreasonable dietary structure is one of the important factors affecting national health. According to the national nutrition monitoring data, at present, the protein food sources of Chinese residents are mainly cereals and animal food, accounting for 46.9% and 35.2% respectively, while soybean food accounts for only 5.9%. The pattern of protein food intake is unreasonable. Therefore, appropriately increasing plant protein intake is one of the feasible methods to ensure nutrient balance and improve the national nutritional health level. Chen Junshi pointed out that the third article of the Chinese Dietary Residents' Guide released this year said to eat more vegetables, fruits, milk, whole grains and soybeans. Because soybean has high-quality protein, its fat is unsaturated fatty acid, rich in vitamins and minerals. It is particularly worth mentioning that soybeans are rich in bioactive substances, which are very beneficial to health, such as soybean isoflavones. Therefore, it is recommended that consumers increase beans in their diet to achieve balanced intake of nutrients. Chen Junshi also expressed his understanding of soy milk intake from another dimension. He believed that the dietary pattern of drinking soy milk was not only conducive to the nutrition and health of Chinese people, but also beneficial to protecting the earth and reducing carbon emissions. He said that changing our dietary pattern and taking plant food can not only enhance our health, but also protect the health of the earth. At the industrial level, Chen Junshi also said that China's food industry needs to transform, not to say that what sells well in the market will develop, but to transform to nutrition and health. Soymilk is a good starting point for the development of nutrition and health industry. "The transformation of our entire food industry needs leading enterprises to take the lead, and then the entire industry should unite, so that we can improve the level of our soy milk." Chen Junshi said, "With the development of this industry, we need to enable all enterprises to show their talents, research and develop more and better products that are more suitable for different needs of different consumers in China, including its nutritional value and taste. Only in this way can we make the industry bigger and stronger." (Liu Xinshe)
