A side meeting on the theme of "Youth Coping with Climate Change" was held in the Chinese Corner of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) on the 6th. Through case sharing, dialogue and exchange, the sideline meeting demonstrated the issue of climate change from the perspective of young people, and gave voice to young people to deal with climate change. Tian Chengchuan, director of the Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, said in his speech at the meeting that young people play an indispensable role in environmental protection and should work together to contribute more to global environmental governance. At the meeting, Chinese young scientific explorer Wen Xu and other representatives from various institutions and enterprises shared relevant cases on glacier protection, low-carbon travel and other topics. Jing Hui, the director of the Strategic Communication Program of the Energy Foundation, presented the results of the "Low Carbon China Trip" activity, which covers the contents of "Low Carbon 100 Theories", "Low Carbon Concept Cloud Communication", "Video Collection of Teenagers' Low Carbon Speech", etc., aiming to carry out in-depth climate change and low carbon publicity, find people and cases with typical exemplary significance, and widely mobilize the media, private institutions, enterprises, families, communities Schools and others participate in low-carbon action. At the end of the sideline meeting, many young people from China, France, India and Liberia exchanged views on their participation in climate change practices, and jointly issued the 2022 Global Youth Initiative on Climate Change to the world in multiple languages.
