Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with Tanzanian President Hassan in the Great Hall of the People on March 3. Li Zhanshu said that Tanzania is an important partner of China. Guided by the important consensus of the two heads of state, China will better align with Tanzania to implement the outcomes of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation and firmly support each other on issues involving each other's core interests. China will always uphold the concept of truth, affinity and sincerity and strengthen solidarity and cooperation with African countries and other developing countries. Strengthening China Africa cooperation will safeguard the common interests of developing countries and uphold international fairness and justice. The National People's Congress of China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation at all levels with the Tanzanian parliament. Hassan congratulated the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and said that Tanzania adheres to the one China policy, is committed to further consolidating Tanzania China relations, and works with China to promote Tanzania China friendly cooperation to a higher level.
