On the morning of November 1, Premier Li Keqiang met with Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), who was in China for an official visit, at the Fanghua Garden in Diaoyutai. Li Keqiang welcomed Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to China. He said that China and Vietnam are comprehensive strategic cooperative partners and share broad common interests. China attaches great importance to developing relations with Vietnam. China and Vietnam are friendly neighbors to each other. From a strategic and long-term perspective, the two sides should maintain high-level exchanges, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, deepen the docking of development strategies, and use the stability of China Vietnam relations to deal with the instability and uncertainty of the current world. Li Keqiang pointed out that China is willing to work with Vietnam to implement the achievements and consensus reached by both sides, give full play to the convenient conditions such as geographical proximity and complementary industrial advantages, promote the constant upgrading of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and accelerate cooperation in key areas. China is willing to import more marketable agricultural products from Vietnam and jointly maintain smooth trade at China Vietnam border ports. Li Keqiang said that China attaches great importance to developing relations with ASEAN. This year's series of leaders' meetings on East Asian cooperation is just around the corner. China is ready to consolidate good neighborly friendship with ASEAN countries, promote cooperation in various fields to achieve more fruitful results, jointly safeguard peace and stability in the South China Sea, create a good environment for their respective development, and better benefit the people of the region. This visit highlights the special friendship between Vietnam and China. Vietnam is willing to implement the consensus with China, further enhance understanding, promote cooperation, seek common development, strengthen the relationship of "comrades and brothers", and better benefit the two peoples with tangible cooperation results. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, State Councilor and Foreign Minister, He Lifeng, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, attended the meeting.
