[Bright Youth Forum] According to modern times, especially in the past 50 years, the editors have made important discoveries in bamboo slips in Qin and Han Dynasties, which has brought new materials and new problems to the study of social life history, and opened a window for us to understand the social life, social practice and people's spiritual world at that time. What historical materials did the bamboo slips of Qin and Han Dynasties provide for the study of the daily rule of the dynasties, the official activities of grass-roots officials and the daily life of local people? From the perspective of social life history, what opportunities and reflections does the study of bamboo slips bring to historical research? What are the new characteristics and future research prospects? In this regard, we invited three young scholars to discuss with a view to further promoting the research on related issues. Sun Wenbo, Associate Professor of the School of Chinese Studies of Renmin University of China, Fu Kui, Associate Professor of the School of Humanities of Zhejiang Normal University, Guo Weitao, Associate Professor of the Center for Research and Protection of Unearthed Documents of Tsinghua University, Zhao Fan, reporter of Guangming Daily, Materials and Methods: Expansion of the Study of the History of Social Life Moderator: Over the past few decades, the important discoveries of bamboo slips in Qin and Han Dynasties have continued, reflecting much of the social life at that time. On the whole, what are the characteristics of the materials involved and what are the driving forces for the study of social life history? Sun Wenbo: Since Juyan Bamboo Slips were unearthed in modern times, there have been important discoveries in Qin and Han bamboo slips. Especially in the past 50 years, the eye-catching discoveries are particularly concentrated. At present, the number of bamboo slips in the Qin and Han Dynasties has exceeded 220000. According to the unearthed types, bamboo slips can be divided into site slips, tomb slips and well cellar slips. In addition, the relics of Shaojiagou in Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province and Huangji Homeland in Nanjing are in a near water environment, and the bamboo slips may be related to specific activities and ceremonies. According to the nature of materials, bamboo slips can be divided into two categories: documents and ancient books (classics). Documents can also be divided into public documents and private documents. The former corresponds to administrative documents, official books, etc., while the latter includes letters, celebrities, and non official books. Ancient books include classics such as sutras and zi, technical books such as medicine and numerology, and even legal documents. Some of them are made with tables and drawn with pictures. Influenced by the regional characteristics and the personal factors of the recorder, they have colorful faces and present people's spiritual world and social practice from multiple angles. The study of Chinese social life history rose at the beginning of the 20th century and became prosperous in the 1980s. Due to the limited literature in the Qin and Han Dynasties, the unearthed bamboo slips have a more important position, reflecting the ancient people's food, clothing, transportation, interpersonal communication, life and death, and folk beliefs. The dispatch book records burial clothes and food, which can correspond to some relics. The Folding (Making) Clothes, a collection of Qin bamboo slips by Peking University, records the shapes, sizes, tailoring and making methods of all kinds of clothing. The cooking and processing methods of plant food materials and animal meat are compiled in the "Shifang" of the Han bamboo slips in Huxi Mountain. Yin Wan's Han Bamboo Slips "Diary of the Second Year of Yuanyan" records the daily work of Rao, a meritorious teacher in Donghai County. The famous thorns and books of Yinwan Han Bamboo Slips, and the letters of Juyan and Xuanquan Han Bamboo Slips respectively show the interpersonal communication of ordinary officials and civilians in the southeast and northwest of the Han Dynasty. Japanese books and wooden slips in the shape of human figures in the east archway reveal the tip of the iceberg in the belief world of the Qin and Han Dynasties. Fu Kui: The discovery and research history of bamboo and silk in Qin and Han Dynasties can be said to be synchronized with the establishment and development of Chinese archaeology. Driven by a large number of materials, the theory and methods of bamboo and silk research have gradually matured. Main characteristics of bamboo and silk materials
